Monday: Realizing that these dark days and times contain the seed of light will help us to wait for the light to manifest.

Tuesday: This Thanksgiving week, I am grateful for the gift of our spiritual community. I like to think that Yogananda personally told me to come here through a series of coincidences which were not really coincidences.

Wednesday: How have I learned to have gratitude in life?  It was not during moments of having more. It was during moments of having less or nothing at all. More often than not I learned gratitude during critical times when my loved ones have been faced with heart-wrenching health problems.

Thursday: A short time ago at an Assisi retreat, I sat in the temple in the front row, closer than I had ever been at a Kriya service. I looked upon the faces of the gurus and the flowers that surrounded them and I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude that I was alive at that moment and that I could  be in the midst of such grace.

Friday: As beautiful as our temple is when the candles are lit or the sunlight streams in, full of colors, smells, and music, there is something that is the most precious of all: the faces of those who come to meditate together.
