Everyone appears to be in love with love. What is love? As a starting point, let me say that love is much more than a feeling or a sentimental thought. Love is real and substantial. In fact, love is the really real, the absolutely real, and the ultimately real. Love is reality and reality is love; this is what we mean when we say that love is God, and God is love. The very fabric of reality is love. Whatever is outside of love has only a shadowy, ghostlike existence. Thus, if our spirituality, life-choices,  politics, laws, and beliefs are not grounded in love, they have no life-giving substance and are incapable of grounding us, sustaining us, or producing real fruit. Whatever is not born of love will sooner or later fade away. We know we are standing in love because we feel solid, stable, and substantial, regardless of what is happening in society or to our bodies. Don’t we know when we are dealing with a person grounded in love? They feel real and alive; their presence lifts us up. The Bible tells us, “In the end these three things remain: faith, hope and love; but the greatest of these is love.”

Divine Mother,
Let me be one
Who is grounded in love.
