April 6 & 7, 2024
As you all know, on Monday April 8, Rochester will be the epicenter of an historical solar eclipse. While the eclipse is a wondrous and awesome moment that we want to share with our dear ones and our larger community, it does come with its challenges. Astrologically speaking, when there is a lack of light, chaos ensues with a certain intensity. So there is no better time for us to come together as a community to bring light into the entire weekend.
We have a very special event hosted at The Lamberton Conservatory
Saturday, April 6th at 6:30 PM
To celebrate and thank our wonderful community, we have reserved the conservatory at Highland Park. In this oasis of life and beauty, the wonder of nature is on full display. We will gather for an evening of fellowship, music by Bruce McClellan, and some soulful thoughts from Isha Das. We will offer some light snacks and tea. Please email Purnima here if you plan to join us. You will want to bring a lawn chair.
We also have a number of wonderful events planned at The Assisi Institute
Saturday, April 6th at 10 AM
Join us for Satsang For Women with Shantima or Spiritual Practice For Men with Herb.
Saturday, April 6th at 3 PM to 4 PM
We will be holding a sacred sound bath to celebrate Assisi Yoga’s 6th birthday. With pure, soothing vibration and sound, provided by Charles and Jane, we will be bringing light to our bodies, minds and hearts. Please email Christianne here if you plan to bring a friend with you.
Donations are gratefully accepted here.
Sunday, April 7th at 6 PM
Isha Das will be leading participants in group meditation and give a short talk on sharing God’s light through our own souls. Tommy Gravino will bring us his heavenly music. This service will also be available on Facebook and YouTube.
We look forward to sharing the significance of the eclipse on a deeper level with all of you. Families and friends are welcome, too!
