Thank you to Vickijo Campanaro, who was inspired to write these lines during a Friday class spent reading the words of our Sat-Guru, Paramahansa Yogananda.

Silent night,
Dear Lord, bring us daily into the peace of your silence and love.

Holy night,
Let us remember to practice holiness and kindness day and night.

All is calm,
When life is confusing and hard, may we bring calmness to ourselves and others.

All is bright.
May we remember that light always wins over darkness.

Round yon virgin,
Let us remember that out of a poor, simple woman came a savior, but not without suffering and sacrifice.

Mother and child,
Let Jesus and Mary help us to use our pain to lead us to more and more love and wisdom.

Holy infant,
Help us to be like an infant with childlike wonder and daily appreciation for life.

So tender and mild,
Daily, may we practice tenderness and compassion to all Beings,

Sleep in heavenly peace,
And let us all rest in knowing we are loved and we are love itself.

Sleep in heavenly peace.
Let us laugh and rejoice throughout eternity. Amen.
