Celebrating the Divine Feminine
The Fullness of God’s Presence
The two oldest Christian lineages, Orthodoxy and Roman Catholicism, accord to Mary an exulted title, “Mother of God.” In a parallel manner, Hinduism honors the “Divine Mother.” These different traditions are pointing to a singular truth: God is the perfect synthesis of “masculine” and “feminine” energies, and that if spirituality is going to be whole and life-giving it must also honor the “Mother.”
Through this retreat, we will enter into the love and wisdom of the “Divine Mother.” Specifically, we will explore the teachings of Anandamayi Ma and the Blessed Mother. Through silence, contemplation and presentations, participants will experience the grace of the “Divine Feminine.” The day promises to be both inspirational and practical.
“Even though you may want to put God the Mother aside, She will not let you. Are you not her offspring? She provides for each right thing, at the right time, in the right way.” –Anandamayi Ma
“Let not your heart be disturbed…am I not here, your Mother? Are you not under my protection? Do not grieve nor be disturbed.” –The words of Mary (Our a Lady of Guadalupe) spoken to Juan Diego
