Dear Friends,
The pictures above show me with the Mighty Therm, one of two faithful boilers (circa 1960) that keep the cold at bay and a typical heating vent in our building. Back when this building was built, no one thought about energy efficiency. In spite of our best efforts to reduce our energy consumption, our typical RGE bill during the winter months is around $1375, an amount that puts a considerable strain on our modest budget.
As you have guessed, I am here to humbly ask for your financial support to help us with this expense. I hope that you consider the Assisi Institute your spiritual home, and also that you appreciate that this brick-and-mortar structure with all its quirks is essential to our mission of holding the energy and the mission of our gurus. More and more people are finding us in person and online, and we hope to keep our doors open to provide a welcoming, comfortable environment for everyone.
