There is much misery in the world. We can try to wall ourselves off from it, to no avail. Even in the archetypal story of Adam and Eve’s life in paradise, a dastardly serpent creates chaos. So, what is our response to this chaos and its ensuing suffering? Anger, fear, and denial only make it worse. No political messiah will save us. The answer is simple: love! What is love? Love is the lifeblood of God that has the power to soothe our weary hearts, to heal what is broken, and to unite what is divided. We cannot generate love on our own because it does not come from us, but from God. The good news is this: every time we pray, meditate, or make the choice to love others, we receive a transfusion of love from the very heart of God. With so much suffering in the world, may we all choose to imbue our words and actions with nothing but the energy of love.

The answer is simple.
With every breath,
May I convey love.
