One of the most joyous of human experiences is a wedding celebration of two people deeply in love. On such an occasion, heavenly graces are released. It is no coincidence, therefore, that Jesus performed his first miracle at a wedding celebration, turning water into wine. This marriage celebration launched Jesus’ ministry. A marriage unites two separate lives into a common life, a common trajectory, and a common destiny. Only the power of love is capable of uniting people. A good wedding overflows with the power of love. Only love can create miracles. If we want miracles in our lives, we must live as if our lives are a perpetual wedding celebration which overflows with love, passion, commitment, and faith. The commitment to love unleashes the Holy Spirit, God’s love, into our lives.
