Deepening Our Union with God

Nothing short of the experience of “union with God” will ever satisfy the longing of our hearts. Though the experience of union comes to us as a gift from above, we must do our part to prepare ourselves for this great blessing. We do this by letting go of our attachment to our thoughts, to ourselves and to our need to be in control. This can only occur to the extent that we enter into the silence, so that God’s “Great Silence” can descend upon us.

You are, therefore, cordially invited to take part in a five-day silent retreat, intended to help participants open themselves to the grace of Silence. Our inspired guides for the week will be Paramahansa Yogananda and Teresa of Avila. Their teachings are infallible road maps to the experience of God-union, and the grace of their presence will have a transformative effect on our day-to-day lives, elevating us into more expansive levels of consciousness.

“To commune with God, we need to
go into silence… Stillness is God.”

–Paramahansa Yogananda
