As I stated yesterday, if we are going to really know God we must leave the conceptual world behind; we must enter into our own interior spaciousness. However, such leaving requires a level of detachment from our own agendas, ideas and ideologies. We must come to understand that what we don’t know is far more important than what we do know. In order to know what we don’t know, we must let go of what we think we know. As Jesus taught, we must become “poor in spirit.” Even deeper, we must let go of what we think should happen, what we want to happen, and what we often insist on happening. This deeper level of surrender empowers us to participate in what is going to happen, what really needs to happen, what God wants to happen. In this way, we work together with God in the re-dreaming of the world. If we dream outside of God’s dream, we unwittingly invite nightmares. The world does not need more nightmares. It does need is our willingness, through inspired intuition, to re-dream our lives and our world within the dream of God.
Divine Mother and Father,
I want to let go of
What I think should happen,
What I want to happen,
And what I insist is going to happen.
