Transforming the Chemistry of Our Lives
A Study of Prayer
Spirituality has one ultimate purpose: Loving God, also referred to as God Consciousness. In the tradition of Kriya Yoga and Mystical Christianity, meditation is the left lung of the spiritual life, and prayer is the right lung.
In this context, you are invited to participate in a special mini-retreat, the focus of which is prayer as a path to God realization. Together we explore the relationship between prayer and meditation, how prayer changes us, how prayer deepens our conscious contact with God, and how prayer moves heaven on our behalf. The event promises to a deep, prayerful and transformative experience.
“Prayer is, for me, an outburst from the heart; it is a simple glance darted upwards to Heaven; it is a cry of gratitude and of love in the midst of trial as in the midst of joy! In a word, it is something exalted, supernatural, which dilates the soul and unites it to God.”
–Saint Therese“True prayer is an expression of the soul, an urge from the soul. It is a hunger for God that arises from within, expressing itself to Him ardently, silently.”
–Paramahansa Yogananda“Don’t pray to God, but in God.”
–Roy Eugene Davis
