Monday: Two forces operate within human history and within our personal lives: the impulse toward a life which is divine, loving, and abundant, and the degenerative inclination characterized by division, destruction, and death.
Tuesday: Resurrection has nothing to do with the pursuit of happiness. Happiness as we in modern times understand it lacks depth and a sense of wonder. Furthermore, it does not deal with the horror of the degenerative forces operating within the human arena.
Wednesday: Prayer is a bulwark against temptation; it is a protective impetus that keeps the forces of degeneration at bay. For this reason Saint Paul urges us to “pray unceasingly.”
Thursday: The resurrection impulse is buried within the deepest pockets of our souls. We are unable to access this divine impulse without first traversing in and through the various aspects of our interior shadows beneath the surface self.
Friday: The resurrection impulse is literally the force of Divine Love operating within the sphere of human evolution. This love is the most powerful force in all of creation. Given the many horrific situations dotting the landscape of planet earth, this claim about love’s power might be hard to believe. However, it is not that love does not work; it is just that it is seldom tried.
