Monday: Denying fear does not make it go away. Denial simply pushes fear underground where it begins to do even more damage.What I have learned since I embraced the spiritual path is that the only antidote to fear is love.
Tuesday: The first and most important fear we must confront pertains to God. Despite our apparent sophistication, many of us still harbor within the depths of our psyches a primitive fear of God in the context of hell, judgment, abandonment, disapproval, rejection, or indifference.
Wednesday: We will not resolve our fears in endless cycles of analysis or by trying to fix ourselves. When we learn to prayerfully place the eyes of our souls on God and to rest in God’s goodness, protection, and love, we will find the real solution.
Thursday: The antidote to fear is truth! Truth is not primarily an intellectual argument, but an experience of reality.
Friday: When I was a child, we were more or less told to “stuff” our feelings. These days, we are encouraged to express, indulge, and act on our every emotional whim. Both approaches are wrong!
