Monday: The very fabric of reality is love. Whatever is outside of love has only a shadowy, ghost-like existence. Thus, if our spirituality, life-choices, politics, laws, and beliefs are not grounded in love, they have no life-giving substance and are incapable of grounding us, sustaining us, or producing real fruit.
Tuesday: We all see ourselves, the world, and God through our own prejudiced lenses which distort reality. Only when we see in and through the reality of love do we see accurately and truly. I say this because love, the really real, is the only reality.
Wednesday: The experience of falling in love with another person is but a fragmentary taste of what it means to fully fall into love itself, to fall into God. When we fully fall into love, we become love itself.
Thursday: Properly understood, love, the life-giving Breath of God, is the only force capable of breaking into our egoic prisons. This enlivening Breath (God’s Spirit) moves through time and space as a luminous light. Only the light of love is capable of extinguishing our interior darkness. However, there is a qualification: love can only be given and received in the context of a relationship.
Friday: We all occasionally visit our heart’s depth. Examples abound: the birth of a child, a wedding celebration, the death of a loved one, an experience of beauty, a good cry, and so forth. A God-realized person or saint always lives from this deeper dimension of the heart; in a manner of speaking, it is their permanent home.
