Sound Bath with Marla Pelletier

Let's allow the edges of the body to soften with this sensational Mantra Soundbath.

We will use sound technologies heard by the ancient rșis, the Sanskrit alphabet, to awaken our energy centers.  Take home a map of the Sanskrit alphabet corresponding to the cakras, or energy centers of the body for you to practice at home.

Then Marla will lead peace chants from the ancient vedas using her voice & harmonium. You will have the opportunity to experience their vibration as an adult lullaby while you rest in śavasana or meditate.  If you have ever been curious about the meaning of Sanskrit mantras, this experience can give you personalized insights as you stay in a receptive state.

Participate with your own voice or listen in deeply and these powerful vibrations may bring a feeling of wholeness to the mind/body system.

Yoga for Pelvic Health with Audrey Harpe

This five-week series focuses on yoga practices for maintaining a healthy pelvis. A healthy pelvis involves the layers of pelvic floor muscles, hip muscles, pelvic/hip bones and joints, and how they work in harmony with the abdominal, back, and breathing muscles as well as the pelvic and abdominal organs.

In this series, we develop awareness of the bony landmarks of the pelvis and the related muscles in order to cultivate balance through stretching and strengthening effectively. Special attention is given to breathing patterns and how this affect pelvic health. A healthy pelvis is a vital part of your core. It contributes to optimal organ support, continence, and overall stability. You will learn and practice the foundations for healthy, supported functional movement contributing to more freedom, confidence, and resilience.

While pelvic floor health applies to all bodies, this course is currently for female bodies only.

The Intro class is the essential foundation for the workshop. It will be a fun, interactive, experiential workshop in which we will actually "build" a pelvic model together to deepen our understanding of the human pelvis and how it functions.  You will just need to show up to find out what on earth that means!

If you attend only the Intro, you will leave with an excellent awareness of the pelvis and its role in your daily functional movement.

If you continue with the whole workshop, you will apply the awareness cultivated in the Intro to your daily functional movement, your yoga asana practice, and/or other movement and exercise practices, as well as toward pelvic health issues such as continence, organ support, and relieving pelvic pain.

TUITION:

5 Class Series Purchase:  $125 ($100 community supported / $140 pay it forward)

Vibrational Restorative Yoga with Lisa Frerichs

This class combines the healing of restorative yoga with the therapeutic vibrations of a sound bath. Restorative yoga is a gentle, therapeutic practice that employs props to support the body in relaxing postures, promoting deep relaxation and rejuvenation. You can expect to hold gentle, relaxing postures for extended periods, utilizing props like bolsters, blankets, and blocks to support your body and concentrate on deep breathing and relaxation. Lisa will use handheld instruments to sweep over each student’s body, facilitating a release and awakening their natural healing abilities. The combination of restorative yoga and sound therapy is particularly beneficial in our fast-paced world, providing much-needed nourishment and healing to our overstimulated nervous systems.
